A royal round of huzzahs!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were like any other psyched Olympics spectators at the Velodrome in London on Thursday. With Prince Harry beside them, Prince William and Kate, both 30, couldn’t contain their excitement when (spoiler alert!) Great Britain won the gold medal in the Track Cycling event.
Both in official Team GB gear, the spouses of 15 months jumped up, cheered and — in a rare moment of unabashed affection — hugged tightly amidst other excited fans in the stands.
Earlier in the day, Kate was more composed, and in more formal attire, watching British tennis player Andy Murray take on Spain’s Nicolas Almagro. Cheered on by the crowd when she and William entered the stadium, the future Queen wore a Smythe blazer over a blue Stella McCartney dress she wore a few weeks ago at the National Portrait gallery. Another rare moment for the Duchess: To block out the blazing sun, she donned sunglasses, as did William.

Another adorable royals moment? Kate and William participated in the wave along with the rest of the crowd during the game.
Prince Harry, meanwhile, made a solo visit with Canadian athletes and officials at the Team Canada House, and attended a Clarence House reception for future Olympics. He joked to young athletes: “Hopefully you’ll grow and grow and grow to be very famous and we can beat China!”
